months before
- Develop a budget
- Alert your family and
friends

- Reserve a venue for the
ceremony

and attendants' dresses
- Establish a gift

before
- Make formal wear
arrangements for groom and ushers
- Order invitations,
thank you notes,
- Make reservations for
the honeymoon
- Hire a florist
- Finalize the guest list
- Obtain marriage license
3 months
before
- Get a marriage license
- Plan the ceremony
- Shop for wedding rings
- Order the wedding cake
- Plan for transportation

- Arrange hotel rooms for
out-of-town guests
1-2 months
before
- Send invitations
- Arrange for the
rehearsal dinner
- Purchase gifts for
attendants
- Confirm all beauty
appointments regarding the wedding day
- Finalize song choices
i.e. first dance & parent dances
- Finalize agreement with
photographer and/or videographer
- Finalize floral
arrangements
- Finalize transportation
plans for wedding day and night

1-3 weeks
before
- Confirm catering
arrangements and final count of guests
- Pick up bridal gown and
needed accessories
- Make arrangements to
pick up groom's garments and those of his ushers
- Prepare envelopes to
pay wedding venue, musicians, photographer, etc.
The night
before
- Finish packing for
honeymoon
- Give gifts to
attendants at rehearsal dinner
- Give payment envelopes
to best man to tip service providers after the wedding
The wedding
day
- Bring car keys, wedding
rings, wedding license, airline tickets, passports, money, etc.
- Place wedding night and
honeymoon luggage in at the front door
- Get dressed, relax
and have a great time!!!
